Jeffrey R. Briney, D.D.S.
CEREC is the unique CAD/CAM (Computer Assisted Design/Computer Assisted Milling) system for patient individual all-ceramic restorations in one single appointment. These life-like restorations are fabricated with the most advanced materials that are also FULL porcelain; NO METAL is used and BEST of all NO LAB is used (no impressions and no temporaries). This is THE MOST advanced technology utilized in only 9% of dental offices across the country. Impressions and labs are no longer needed. Digital "impressions" are extremely more accurate and detailed compared to the "old school" impressions that are sent to a dental lab.
Dr. Briney has been using the CEREC system in his office for 8 years and his patients LOVE having their porcelain restorations completed in a single 90 minute appointment. Following the preparation of the tooth for the restoration; a digital impression is taken with the Omnicam and the restoration is designed utilizing the software. After the design process is completed, the milling unit sculpts the restoration out of a porcelain block which is then glazed and permanently cemented.
NO TEMPORARIES and NO IMPRESSIONS and NO WAITING!

Dr. Briney personally designs and fabricates his patient's smiles. Through extensive training and affiliation with many cosmetic dentistry associations and educational facilities; he is able to design the perfect and personal smile that is designed to harmonize with the individuals face and smile. Dr. Briney likes to use the term "Facial Makeover" versus "Smile Makeover" because the teeth should compliment the whole face and not just the mouth. This procedure is started and completed within a few days due to the detail and time it takes Dr. Briney to fabricate your new smile, but very cosmetic tempories are placed during that time. This technology also allows for prepless veneers to be used; aka "Lumineers".
Unfortunately, old silver (amalgam) fillings that were used in the past eventually leak and cause new decay and fractures in the remaining tooth structure. With the use of Digital Dentistry; restorations can be fabricated out of the most advanced porcelain that will outlive the tooth. Porcelains are 20-40 times stronger than natural tooth structure and Dr. Briney warranties his work for life as long as the proper maintenance and care are followed.
